The Village of Menomonee Falls, with nearly 33,000 residents, is located in the northeastern corner of Waukesha County. The Falls is known for its small-town charm but with its proximity to Milwaukee and Madison, the choices of big city activities like sporting events, culture and entertainment are many.
For those looking for a bit of outdoor adventure, The Falls has many scenic parks and recreation areas to enjoy like Mill Pond Park, Lime Kiln Natural Area, and the Lepper Dam. The Mill Pond area near Main Street includes a 35-seat amphitheater, a beautiful 8-sided gazebo, a new shelter with restrooms and outdoor grills to make events, family get-togethers and company picnics easy.
Old Falls Village is a living history museum whose centerpiece is the 1858 Miller-Davidson House, listed on the National Registerof Historic Places.
Specialty shops and restaurants can be found in downtown Menomonee Falls which is affectionately known as the “four corners.” You can take a downtown walking tour that is enhanced by decorative street lighting, red-bricked sidewalks and historic buildings. About the Developer:
The term “craftsmanship” is a word used so often by builders today that it seems to have lost its meaning. However, when applying the term “craftsmanship” to Westridge Builders, it has a wealth of meaning that goes back four generations. Michael Jasin was a semi-professional woodworker who made a name for himself by hand-tooling propellers for World War I planes. His talent for detailed woodworking led him to hand-craft several instruments and furniture pieces. Eventually, he found home building to be his true calling.
His son-in-law, Paul Tomich, acquired his talent for precision craftsmanship from his father-in-law, and later incorporated Life Homes in 1958. The 1950’s saw a trend in building with new subdivisions popping up which were designed specifically for raising families and Life Homes fit perfectly into that niche.
By the late 1960’s the building baton was passed to Paul’s son, Craige Tomich, who began running Life Homes. In 1975, he incorporated his own company, Westridge Builders, continuing the tradition of helping homeowners build the American Dream. Today, Michael Jasin’s great grandson, Carl Tomich, heads Westridge Builders, Life Homes, & City Homes along with developing numerous subdivisions in southeastern Wisconsin. His companies have earned one of the finest reputations in the industry for building quality homes with superior craftsmanship.
