Home Description:
When it comes to a truly unique design, Steeple Pointe Homes sure knows how to make every detail come together from start to finish.
At the beginning of the 20th Century, Frank Lloyd Wright introduced a distinct new architecture style that expressed the flat, sweeping prairie of his native Midwest. Dubbed Prairie-style architecture, this type of house was created to meet Wright’s objectives of simplicity and integrity by combining comfort, utility, and beauty without imitating past styles.
With this philosophy as its inspiration, SPH’s Tiffany ranch prairie home provides broad, gently sloping, sheltering roofs with prominent architectural details: balconies and terraces extend in several directions beyond the house, creating protected outdoor spaces and rhythms of vertical and horizontal planes.
The Tiffany’s soaring 16 ft. ceilings are the first thing you’ll notice as you wonder how a primarily horizontal, sweeping Prairie-style ranch home could offer such spaciousness.
The Tiffany also features a 4-car front facing garage, open concept design, large walk-in tile shower, free-standing soaking tub in the master bath, and an efficient and functional kitchen layout. From the foyer, the Tiffany offers a stunning open staircase that invites you to descend into the finished lower level of this beautiful home.
People’s Choice Nomination for Best Room: Great Room/Stairs
The Tiffany’s high ceilings accentuate its interior, and allow enormous ribbon windows that frame panoramic views of the prairie beyond. A striking stone fireplace anchors the airy Great Room. The inclusion of a modern, open staircase encourages visitors to descend into the generous, partiallyexposed lower level. Seemingly floating in air, the staircase’s open treads and cable railing are juxtaposed against the backdrop of the weighty fireplace, creating an efficient, inviting, and whimsical space.
